The Navy has determined that only citizens of the following countries are eligible to participate in the bus tours onboard Naval Station Norfolk:
United States, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain
Turkey, United KingdomAll non-US Citizens must make tour reservations at least 5 days in advance.

Our tour goes on board Naval Station Norfolk – an area not accessible to the general public without going through security. It is a unique experience not available anywhere else.

No – we stay on board the bus for the entire tour.

We accept all major credit cards. We do not accept cash, traveler’s checks, personal checks, etc.

The entire tour is a 12.5 mile round trip and typically takes about an hour.

Photography and Videography are strictly prohibited. Although no devices capable of capturing video or photographs are permitted on the bus, Navy Security will enforce a strict no-photography policy throughout the tour.

We have a large parking lot available at the Naval Station Tour office. Parking is free and at your own risk. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items or any damage to your vehicle.

No – food and drink are not allowed on the bus or in the tour office.

No. Everyone ages 18 and older MUST have a valid ID when checking in at the Naval Station Tour office.

Our buses are not wheelchair accessible. If you are looking for handicapped accessible ways to see the ships of Naval Station Norfolk we recommend visiting Victory Rover Naval Base Cruises. They are accessible for standard sized non-electric wheelchairs and they can be reached at 757-627-7406 or navalbasecruises.com.

You will be given the opportunity to fill out the paperwork at the tour office. Please keep in mind that this paperwork and background check take time to complete, and filling out the paperwork in person puts you at risk of missing the next tour. In this case, we suggest arriving an hour before tour departure. Remember that Non US Citizens Must Book on-line at least 24 Hours in Advance – can not book in person

No prohibited items will be allowed in the tour office or bus, you must leave any prohibited items in your car. We can not be responsible for items left in your car.

US Citizens can walk in, however, due to limited capacity we strongly encourage purchasing your tickets in advance. There is no guarantee that you will be able to take a tour without a reservation. Non US Citizens must Book on-line at least 24 Hours in Advance – can not book in person.

Naval Station Norfolk is the world’s largest naval station and generally speaking, you will see a little bit of everything on our tour, e.g., carriers, cruisers, destroyers, amphibious assault ships, submarines, tug boats, and even private yachts. The ships do come and go on a daily basis, and because of this every tour is a little bit different. We cannot guarantee that any specific ship or type of ship will be in on a specific day.

We cannot hold the tour for guests who are running late. Tours will leave promptly at their designated departure times.

No bags or personal items are allowed on the bus during the tour. All items must be left in your vehicle before boarding. Phones, key remotes and key fobs may be secured in individual lockers inside the Tour Office (we do suggest leaving phones in your car). Please note that no items may be left unattended inside the tour office during the tours (aside from the small items mentioned above).

Our tour is just one low price of $22 per person. We do not offer any other discounts

No smoking or vaping will be allowed on the bus or in the tour office.

All ages are welcome and are all the same price of $22 per guest. However, due to the nature of this tour we do not recommend it for children ages 3 and under .
